The base salary range for this role is $133,700 to $167,100 on a national basis and may be higher or lower depending on the location of the role. Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes equity, performance bonus or commissions for eligible roles, and competitive benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, relevant work experience, skillset, internal equity, and other factors, consistent with applicable law.

Protocol Engineers in the Data Intelligence group have a deep understanding of various protocols, are experts at parsing transaction information, building scalable ingest pipelines, and writing reusable libraries. We measure success by the accuracy of the data parsed from blockchains and velocity to onboard new blockchains into our products.The company’s goal of building out a blockchain data platform enables businesses, governments, and banks to solve the world’s most high-profile criminal cases, paving the way for an economy built on blockchains.

- You have earned the ins and outs of our blockchain analysis techniques
- Onboarded new blockchains into our product
- Worked with our product teams to ensure accurate data is provided to our customers
- Have become an expert in multiple blockchains
- Contributed to the effectiveness and velocity of team deliverables
- You have learned new technologies and shown that you are not afraid to work outside your comfort zone
A background like this helps:
- Deep understanding of one or more blockchains from both a protocol and data perspective
- Proven experience with running batch and streaming based etl pipelines in production
- Understanding of efficient data structures, algorithms and computational complexity
- Planned, built, and owned production systems
- Experience with Python, Java, and/or Typescript
- The versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job
- Blockchain P2P Node and Networking Fundamentals
- The ability to clearly communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bias for action

- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc)
- Contributed to a blockchain open source project
