We are recruiting an experienced system administrator to join our client’s rapidly growing tech-driven organization dedicated to providing top-notch solutions for their global client base. This a company that values innovation, efficiency, and forward-thinking approaches.
As the System Administrator you will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of different operating systems, platforms, and networks. A proactive approach, combined with robust problem-solving skills, is essential to ensure that IT operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- System Maintenance: Implement, configure, and test solutions. Maintain servers, including database, mail, and web servers.
- Network Management: Oversee local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) operations. Manage IP addresses, resolve network issues, and ensure optimal network performance.
- Security: Regularly update system protections, monitor for breaches, and manage user permissions. Stay updated on the latest security threats and ensure the company's IT resources are secure.
- Backup & Recovery: Ensure all data is regularly backed up. Implement recovery processes and procedures to handle potential system failures.
- Updates: Keep software updated. This includes operating systems, applications, and virus protection software.
- User Support: Provide technical support for issues escalated from the first-line support team. Guide and assist users in the optimal use of IT resources.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the company's IT assets, system configurations, and processes.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors to ensure the timely resolution of issues or procurement of IT equipment/services.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies, relevant best practices, and advancements in the field of system administration.
- 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or similar capacity.
- Proficient with various operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and platforms (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS).
- Solid understanding of IT security protocols and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with network management and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Team player with the ability to also work independently.
- Commitment to keeping up with new IT trends and technologies.
